Fiscal Responsibility
- As a County Commissioner, Wayne Williams provided County government at a cost that is the lowest per citizen on the Front Range. The next closest county to El Paso County is more than 52% more costly. The other eight counties have budgets per citizen at least double that of El Paso County.
- As a County Commissioner, Wayne Williams reduced property tax rates as required by the Colorado Constitution and opposed efforts by some to permit tax rates to increase without a vote of the people.
- Wayne Williams is the only candidate for Clerk and Recorder who strongly opposed city efforts to collect an enterprise fee, such as the stormwater fee, on your property taxes.
- Wayne Williams will continue to be fiscally responsible with your tax dollars and make sure that your Clerk & Recorder’s Office is not wasteful in its spending.
